For Tuesdays in October

Since Beaudin’s ALL diagnosis in 2019, relapse in 2020, and two rounds of CAR T therapy in 2021, I have been slowly, but surely, finding my way back to myself, healing from the trauma, and reintegrating a very fractured nervous system from years of fight or flight. As the dust has settled from my experience, I am finding new ways to give back and help others find more moments of peace and security along this long, hard road.

Pediatric cancer parents are spread thin. We spend countless hours stuck in survival. Processing endless medical data, then making impossible decisions, all while serving the endless needs of our children. There is little margin or capacity to care for ourselves. During this weekly zoom, we will spend time in guided mindfulness; learning practical tools that we can use in every day life to stay “in our body” while trauma and medical complexities keep us “in our head.” We will also have time for intentional community sharing. If you are unfamiliar, or even hesitant, towards the idea of “mindfulness,” this is a great place to learn more about it. My hope is that this Zoom will help parents connect with themselves, alongside each other, during a season that doesn’t leave much space for self-care.

With that, during the month of October I am hosting a weekly zoom for CAR T parents focused on mindfulness and community.

We will meet for one-hour on Tuesdays starting October 8th (6pm Mountain/8pm Eastern) A bit of learning followed by intentional sharing and reflection. This is not so much a “support group,” as an intentional space to be with yourself, in the company of others. Anyone who has had CAR T as a part of their child’s cancer journey is welcome to join 💜
