I’m Betsy—writer, speaker and cancer mom.

I began writing here during my family’s years inside pediatric cancer treatment, trying to make sense of how life continues when certainty disappears.
What started as a coping mechanism slowly became a way of understanding our life: the freight train of pediatric cancer, the paralysis of impossible decisions, and the strange sacredness of adjusting to a reality you never asked for.
Today, I write as an advocate for those still in the messy middle—offering reflection, context, and the kind reflection that I once went looking for myself.
If you’re navigating pediatric cancer, rebuilding a life after it, or simply trying to live more steadily in a world that keeps rearranging itself—welcome. I’m glad you’re here.
